Terms and Conditions
1. General Agreement
By commissioning or purchasing our flower preservation or ashes preservation services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all orders placed with ResinIt.
2. Services Provided
We offer the service of preserving flowers in resin, including but not limited to encapsulation, casting, and curing. Each piece is handcrafted and unique.
3. Customer Responsibilities
– Flower Preparation: Customers must ensure flowers are delivered to us in a suitable condition. Fresh flowers should be shipped promptly to avoid wilting. Alternatively, dried flowers can be provided.
– Inclusion: Customer must ensure that any inclusions that are to be preserved are send to us in the secure container or a zip lock bag. Please include name and order number on the packaging of any inclusions.
– Delivery: Customers are responsible for the cost and arrangement of shipping flowers and inclusions to our facility. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method.
4. Preservation Process
– Drying and Preparation: Flowers will be dried using silica gel or other appropriate methods before being encapsulated in resin. Ashes should be provided in a secure and sealed container. A small portion will be used for the jewellery creation process, and any unused ashes will be returned to the customer unless otherwise requested.
– Design Approval: Customers may provide specific design preferences, which will be considered to the best of our ability. However, the final artistic interpretation rests with ResinIt.
– Curing Time: The resin curing process can take several days to weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the piece. Customers will be informed of the expected completion time upon order confirmation, but this is not an exact.
5. Payment Terms
– Deposit: A small booking deposit may be payable upon placing your order
– Interim Payment: If pre-booking, you will be contacted 8 weeks prior to expected delivery of your flowers for 50% payment of your order. An itemised invoice will be sent to you at this point.
– Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon completion of the preservation process and before shipping the final product to the customer.
6. Shipping and Handling
– Domestic Shipping: Shipping costs within UK will be calculated based on the size and weight of the final piece.
– International Shipping: Additional fees apply for international shipping. Customs duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
– Damage in Transit: We take utmost care in packaging your preserved flowers. However, we are not responsible for damage incurred during shipping. Insurance can be purchased at the customer’s request.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
– Cancellations (Flower Preservation): Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund. Cancellation within 14 days will have 25% of the deposit refunds. This is due to the flowers already being in the drying process. Cancellations after 14 days will have 0% of the deposit refunded.
– Cancellation (Ashes Preservation): Cancellation for Ashes Preservation will be accepted up to 7 days of receiving the initial order for a full refund. Any cancellations after this time will have any costs incurred with the order being deducted from the refund amount.
– Refunds: Due to the custom nature of flower and ash preservation, all sales are final. Refunds are not available unless there is a demonstrable error on our part.
8. Quality Assurance
– Variations: Each piece is unique and may have slight variations in colour, shape, and size. Air bubbles and minor imperfections are inherent to the resin preservation process. For ashes preservation, the appearance of the ashes within the resin may vary due to natural differences in texture and density. – Longevity: While resin provides long-term preservation, factors such as exposure to direct sunlight and extreme temperatures can affect the longevity and appearance of the piece.
9. Liability
ResinIt is not liable for any damage to or loss of flowers or ashes before they reach our facility. Our maximum liability is limited to the cost of the preservation service provided.
10. Intellectual Property
All designs and processes used in the preservation of flowers remain the intellectual property of ResinIt.
11. Privacy
Customer information will be used solely for the purpose of providing our preservation services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
12. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in United Kingdom.
