The Face Behind ResinIt
Hi, I’m Donna—Founder of ResinIt
It took me 41 years to discover my artistic side, but once I did, there was no turning back. My journey with resin began in 2023, during a year of profound loss and personal growth. After losing two dear family members, I searched for a way to honour their memory, which led me to create my first resin keepsake. With just one starter kit, I discovered a passion that has since become my purpose.
I started out creating Custom Keepsakes, making small items like keychains and home decor. But my true passion revealed itself when I began working with flowers and resin. Today, I specialize in preserving cherished blooms, transforming them into timeless keepsakes that celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
In June 2024, my creative journey took an even more personal turn. Our beloved family dog, Mikey, was diagnosed with a terminal illness and placed into end-of-life care. As we prepared to say goodbye, I began thinking of ways to create something special to remember him by—something my whole family could treasure. This is where my memorial jewellery collection was born.
Using resin, I was able to preserve Mikey’s ashes and fur, turning them into beautiful keepsakes filled with love and memories. Sadly, we lost Mikey in February 2025, but he left me with an incredible gift—the inspiration to offer memorial jewellery to others experiencing similar loss. Whether it’s ashes, fur, hair, or other precious inclusions, I now help families honour both their human and furry loved ones.
I also offer Breast Milk Jewellery, giving parents a meaningful way to preserve a special part of their feeding journey—something to cherish forever.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is meeting with my customers and hearing the personal stories behind every flower, lock of hair, or tiny vial of milk. These heartfelt conversations inspire me to craft pieces that truly reflect the love, memories, and emotions behind each keepsake.
